Build & launch a new vessel. Production-grade Kubernetes on your cloud — hardened, documented, ready to receive applications.

Your software,
our watch.
B34 Systems is a small practice that brings watch-standing discipline to cloud infrastructure — managing the systems that growing businesses depend on, with the warmth of a team that answers the phone.
How we
sail.
Three ways to work with B34, organized around the kind of help you actually need. Each has its own scope, pace, and pricing model. All carry the same standard of care — and the same named principal.
Charters.
Productized engagements with a defined start, a defined end, and a deliverable you can point to. Each charter has a fixed fee, a written scope, and a documented handover at completion. No retainers. No scope creep.
Your safe home port. A complete cloud foundation — networking, identity, security baselines, cost controls — done right from day one.
Code from commit to production on rails. We design and deliver your build, test, and deployment pipelines with the gates your team needs.
Logs, metrics, traces, dashboards. You see what's happening before your customers do — and we leave you with documentation so the next team can read it.
We take an existing application and lift it onto modern container infrastructure. Documented, tested, no surprise downtime.
Trim the weight. A two-week deep dive into your cloud spend, with a written report of where the money goes and a prioritized list of what to cut.
We examine your cloud security posture against a documented standard and deliver findings with remediation steps in plain language.
Design, document, and exercise your backup and recovery posture. When something fails, the path back is known and rehearsed.
Watches.
Someone is always on deck. Monthly managed services with a named principal who knows your stack and answers the phone. The watch never ends; the contract is month-to-month.
Watch.
We run your Kubernetes clusters so your team doesn't have to. Hardening, patching, upgrades, capacity planning, on-call. Three tiers, depending on what's at stake.
A single non-production cluster, business-hours coverage, monthly review. For teams just starting with managed Kubernetes.
Production clusters, extended coverage, quarterly architecture review, documented on-call handover with your team.
Multi-cluster, 24/7 dedicated principal engineer, monthly working sessions. A named engineer on staff, effectively for you.
We watch your dashboards so you don't have to. Pages route to a human in under a minute. Every Sev-1 gets a documented postmortem.
Continuous cost optimization. Monthly spend review, RI & savings-plan management, plain-English reports of what we saved you.
We track CVE disclosures, test patches in staging, and deploy on a documented schedule. Your auditors will appreciate it.
Daily encrypted backups, monthly recovery drills, documented runbook. The thing nobody thinks about — until they need it.
Expeditions.
Major architectural moves. We chart the course, plan the crossing, and stand the watch through the entire engagement. Bigger commitment. Bigger outcome.
We build your engineering team's most-loved tool: the internal developer platform that lets them ship faster, safer, and increasingly without us.
A complete move from one cloud, datacenter, or architecture to another. We chart the course, plan cutover, and stand the watch through the entire crossing.
For businesses that have outgrown a single-region deployment. We design, build, and operate the fleet — across regions, accounts, and clouds.
Custodimus Dum Dormitis
— We keep watch while you sleep
Someone is always
on the bridge.
B34 runs a true 24/7/365 watch, staffed entirely by in-house, U.S.-based engineers. The watch handover is documented. Sev-1 pages route to a human in under a minute. We never outsource the bridge.
Overnight coverage. In-house engineers on watch while you sleep.
Full team on. Deploy windows and scheduled changes.
Client calls, architecture review, project work.
Logs reviewed, systems checked. Watch standing.
Bush.
About the practice
Founded by someone
who's actually stood
the watch.
Jeremy Bush founded B34 Systems after twenty years of building, scaling, and quietly looking after software systems for businesses that depended on them. He served in the United States Coast Guard from 2003 to 2008 — five years that, more than any technology certification, taught him what operational discipline actually looks like in practice.
In the two decades since, Jeremy has worked closely with the kinds of small and mid-sized organizations B34 was built to serve: non-profits, restaurants, medical education providers, and other businesses where the IT budget can't dominate the operating budget — but the infrastructure still has to work, every minute, every day.
B34 carries that ethic forward. A small practice. A named principal on every account. The discipline of a service background and the warmth of a team that picks up the phone.
